Because it is such a secluded area, not much is known about these enigmatic characters.   Gameplay footage has shown the Witch Doctor to play much like the Necromancer from Diablo 2.  Witch Doctors will have access to summoning spells, primarily dealing with undead creatures.  Their offensive spells include Firebombs and Locust Swarms, and Soul Harvest.  Defensive spells include Horrify and Confusion.
